Isabel McLugash welcomes you to Blackpark Crofthouse holiday accommodation at Blackpark, Bridgend, Isle of Islay, Argyll, Scotland.

Blackpark Crofthouse is a traditional farmhouse on Blackpark’s working croft, furnished to a high standard and providing excellent accommodation for families, individuals or groups wishing to visit Islay or Jura.

You can book for weekly holiday lets all year round, or alternatively take a short break between the end of October and Easter.

Situated on a hillside overlooking Loch Indaal with magnificent sea views, Blackpark Crofthouse is a short ten minute walk from Loch Indaal’s safe, sandy beaches which are suitable for families with children. At Bridgend, three miles away there is a general store with a post office and fuel. You can discover many places to visit on Islay including the RSPB Loch Gruinart Reserve all of which are a short drive away.

The crofthouse has a well appointed interior which includes:


Enjoy a delightful sunroom leading from the living room, overlooking the sea loch and shoreline of Loch Indaal. A large, well furnished living room with television. Spacious dining kitchen including a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. A high chair for a baby is available.


Two double bedrooms, in addition to one family room with four single beds. There is plenty of space within this house to sleep eight people. A baby’s cot is available.


One family bathroom upstairs and one downstairs bathroom with shower. Towels and bed linen are supplied. Natural spring water supplies the cottage which is tested and approved. Oil-fired central heating can be supplemented with an electric fire located in the living room. Heating and electricity is included in the weekly rate.


One dog is allowed, providing it is kept under strict control.
